In his first public remarks since Election Day, when Democrats outperformed expectations, President Biden said Tuesday was “a good day for democracy.”
“Our democracy has been tested in recent years, but with their votes, the American people have spoken and proven once again that democracy is who we are,” Biden said.
Biden also acknowledged that not all the races had been decided yet, including key Senate races in Arizona and in Georgia, where Sen. Raphael G. Warnock (D) and Republican Herschel Walker are headed for a runoff.
